Jacob Mitchell

I am a Senior Process Engineer with a career based in innovation and collaboration. Currently serving as a member of KLA in the Industry and Customer collaboration team since November 2022, In this role, I leads diverse projects within academic and industrial consortia, spanning Microelectronics, Power Electronics, MEMS, and RF/Photonics and Energy Storage.

Prior to his current position, I held the position of Research Project Engineer and Knowledge Transfer Associate at SPTS Technologies (a KLA Company) with Swansea University from 2019. During this tenure, I lead research and development initiatives, fostering partnerships between SPTS Division, Swansea University, and various industrial and commercial entities. His responsibilities extended to mentoring SPTS-funded PhD and MSc students, running collaborative projects for next-generation applications such as Medical Devices, Power Electronics, and Energy Storage.

I Started in this field with a Ph.D. in Nanotechnology that I started in 2015, focusing on innovative semiconductor-based devices for point-of-care applications. My work included the design, fabrication, and application of graphene-based devices, particularly in microfluidics for early cardiac biomarker detection.
