Lewis Dean is head of the Wales Innovation Network (WIN) and Assistant Director at Universities Wales. WIN aims to harness research and innovation strengths at Welsh universities, facilitating collaboration to build impactful projects. WIN seeks to do this by building interdisciplinary networks, raising the profile of Welsh research and innovation, and enhancing the R&I environment in Wales.
Lewis joined WIN as its first head from UK Research and Innovation, where he has worked across a range of funding and policy areas including university research funding, public engagement and research integrity. He has a PhD in the evolution of primates’ ability to innovate.
