I am currently the People Services HR Director within the MoJ with responsibility for a number of the HR services including recruitment, pay and reward, HR services (contracts), HR Casework, HR Change and the Synergy Programme.

MoJ is currently the largest department across Whitehall with over 92,000 staff with a primary focus on prison, probation and courts within the broader Criminal Justce system.

I am a chartered HR, Finance and Project Programme professional and have delivered a number of people related transformational projects. Examples include projects that have strong people elements, such as the opening a new Prison (HMP Berwyn),  onboarding of the Probation Service, organisational redesign of the Prison Service and supporting the creation of the our current integrated third party Shared Services function.

In my current role I am SRO for the HR elements and overall MoJ Synergy Programme. The programme is part of the wider Government Shared Serices Strategy and vision and is a major Cabinet Office transformation programme enabled by technology. The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) are part of a cluster alongside three other Government Departments: Home Office (HO), Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). The Synergy Programme is looking to replace the current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system containing HR, Finance and Procurement across the four Departments and introduce a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) system. In addition, the current outsourced Shared Service function supporting the Cluster will be recompeted concurrently.

I have skills and interest in stakeholder management, programme management, business change, governance, shared services, process improvement and enhancing user experience through digital innovation.
